#Eventide room vs valhalla room plus
Plus it has an excellent palate of Spring Reverb. (And you can use in a studio if you wish). and the BigSky has all the whistles and bells to contour the reverb to sound "studio" but in a live context.
Playing with one of these is an education in reverb, because most reverb you hear on tracks was added post recording in the studio mix down. Maybe it is too big and too expensive, but you should definitely test drive a Strymon BigSky in your search for "sitting right". The CTC White Whale is also worth looking into since it has optical tremolo built in. I love a light gain or crumble post reverb, so I bet this sounds really cool. It also has a built in gain circuit which to me makes this a really interesting pedal. And the Le Truand is maybe even too big for my tastes in true spring reverb. The Le Bon probably sounds a lot like the Orion. You might want to consider the Element with Le Brute for a nice medium wash spring. The only other reverb I GAS for atm simply because of design and apparent excellence would be the Anasounds Element. I used to be a diehard analog only person. I had a decent faux-spring sound set up the other day that re-confirmed I don't need anything else in this position on my board. But you can set it up for a really nice short or medium plate sound that feels really natural and useful.
The really wild sounds are in there and they're amazing. But the M7 just sits so good in the mix, and allows the analog dry signal through in the perfect way. I've tried it up against amp reverb and the mighty Eventide Space. Despite what you are looking for, I'm going to recommend what works:
